Dishwasher Won't Start or Has No Power? Safe Checks
Check settings and door closure
Confirm delayed start and control lock are off, select a cycle and close the door firmly. Check the household breaker once according to panel instructions. Never bypass the latch.
No-start faults need electrical testing
The latch, user interface, thermal protection, wiring and main control can create similar symptoms. Record whether lights appear, buttons beep or a drain pump runs briefly.
Know when to stop
Leave the dishwasher off if the breaker trips, controls flicker or there is an electrical smell. Book with the model number and the last displayed code.

Dishwasher Won't Start or Has No Power? Safe Checks — quick answers
Why are the lights on but the dishwasher will not start?
A door latch, selected option, control lock or internal control condition may prevent the cycle.
Should I reset the breaker repeatedly?
No. If it trips again, keep it off and arrange diagnosis.
Can a bad door latch make the machine look dead?
Yes. Some models will not begin or respond normally unless the latch signal is confirmed.
